"The Template for Your Personal Struggles"

Better yet--call this Biblical model your "default template" because it is a powerful 5-point application that will help you when facing any personal struggle.

Jeremiah 1:17-19

“ Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of Israel. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.”

• GET YOURSELF READY
o “Chagar” means

1. to accommodate other ideas
2. to accommodate other kinds of help
3. to have an open mind and an open heart

o “Mothen” means

 

 • STAND UP
o To abide—losing the territory you own—we own nothing—it all belongs to God.
o To accomplish
o Confirmation—people struggle deeply over their personal problems. If you affirm others you will be affirmed.

• SAY TO THEM WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU
o This requires restraint:

1. of the things I say
2. of how quickly I react

o This requires yielding my schedule to God

• DO NOT BE TERIFIED BY THEM OR I WILL TERRIFY YOU BEFORE THEM
o “Chathath” means a degenerative breaking down.
o There are meaning different kinds of break downs—fear is the thing that creates them.

• TODAY I HAVE MADE YOU A FORTIFIED CITY
o It is in the past tense for us to get the intensity of it.
o “Mibstar” means a strong defender, a great fortification.
o Jesus told his disciples “the Kingdom of Heaven is within you.”
o The whole emphasis in this template is what God is telling each of us personally: “I AM WITH YOU.”
