The Divine Instruction—“The one in control needs to hold on to it for a little while.”
Matthew 21: 2-3
“ Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. 3And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
The Lord: (Kurios) means—the one in control
Has: (Echo) means—Needs to hold on to it (something/anything)
Need: (chreia) means—for a little while
The Divine Appointment—“The one in control needs to hold on to it for a little while (has made your appointments for you).”
The donkey and colt was set up at least 650 years before:
Zechariah 9:9
9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Matthew 21:6-8
6So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. 7They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. 8And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’
Hosanna in the highest!”
• There are no mistakes or miscalculations—everything is a divine appointment.
• God takes great care in meeting your need because meeting your need is a divine appointment.
• The only thing to be cautious of is—you have to go up there ahead and look for the donkey tied up with it’s colt—in other words: You have to do what he says! “The one in control needs to hold on to that for a little while.”
The Divine Application—“The one in control needs to hold on to that for a little while.”
